I have been visiting Siwa Oasis, on the far side of the Sahara in Egypt, since 1995. In November 2010 I moved here to live. I fell in love with this beautiful place and its people, and continue my work as a writer about design, travel and culture from my new home. I hope this blog will give some insights to life there, and life in Egypt more generally.
