In terms of religious, racial, economic and cultural diversity, are the people of this city or town diverse? Are they accepting of differences? Describe.

There isn't as much diversity as in some areas but it is growing. Idaho has been predominantly Caucasian and Mormon. However, as the secret or its great liveability gets out, it has become more diverse. There is also a large refugee community from numerous countries.

What are the main industries in this city? What types of career opportunities commonly exist? How do most people find new jobs?

MICRON (computer technology), Washington Group (formerly Morrison Knudsen) Hewlett-Packard, Albertson's Grocery corporate headquarters, Simplot (international foods and agricultural products) Boise State University, University of Idaho - Boise Campus, University of Phoenix - Boise Campus, George Fox University - Boise Campus, Northwest Nazarene - Nampa (25 miles west), Albertson College - Caldwell (30 miles west)Mountain Home Air Force Base (40 miles southeast).

In general, what are peoples' priorities in this city? For example, do lives revolve around work, family, socializing, sports, etc.?

There are many large corporations and universities in the metropolitan area. There is a ready availability to the outdoors which seems to be what draws most people to Idaho. The pace is relaxed and you can be an integral part of the community if you want to.
