Montclair is getting more and more diverse, and it seems to me that many residents are embracing this process and trying to learn how to enjoy the benefits of diversity.
It's a mix of so many things. Easy access to New York means that people have a lot of options. As I said, many people are involved in the arts. There are so many corporations in New Jersey within commuting distance of Montclair. People's friends and want ads are helpful.
I find that there seems to be three goups of people in Montclair: those that live to work, those that work to support their hobbies, and then there are the people predominantly focused on family life. Some people are a hybrid of these groups, but I generally find that the people in our town are interesting if nothing else!
