Mainly this area is white and the people are open to other diverse groups and will help them.

There is a career center in the HS that helps graduate find jobs. The local newspaper advertises jobs and of course word of mouth works in this small town of around 5,000.

The local priority is work, supporting local events, gardening or helping neighbors and youth sports.

I would suggest that they come for a 10 day visit and introduce themselves to many that they meet. Vermonters are friendly people and generous in nature.
