Most children are dropped off by their parents but the school provides transport (bus).

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

The facilties in this school have improved immensely over the past few years. It started off in a villa and now has become a large campus with all kinds of facilities such as: a high School and middle School Building, the newly constructed Elementary School Building, A relatively new Cafeteria, An Assembly Hall, A multi-purpose Gymnasium, 2 Tennis Courts, A Swimming Pool, 2 soccer/football fields (1 is astro turf and the other is grass) and a lot more.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

My children have changed schools numerous times and have changed from schools that follow British and Indian systems. As we keep travelling. My children have been at this school for almost 2 years now and I have never seen them happier. There is not a day they don't look forward to going to scool. This school is exceptionally well balanced between academics and extra curricular activites. I have never seen a school that provides so many things for the students to be a part of. This includes over 25 clubs, Sports Teams, and trips to all over the world, whether for educational or recreational purposes. It is also one of the most culturally friendly environments, as they teach students from over 70 different nationalities. Students who graduate from here have gone to top niversities, all over the world. DAA definetely prepares our children to face the world and how to make it a better place. They have always been taught that they are the future leaders of the world and that the world will need them very soon. Never have I seen such a friendly school.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

The communication between parents and teachers at this school is fairly high. The school has a large staff, all of which are easily approachable and are friendly. There are scheduled parent-teacher conferences, Newsletters sent home every other week and there is even an organization known as DAAPA (Dubai American Academy Parents Association) and they are very highly involved in the school's activities. They organize big events such as the Halloween Carnival and Food Festival. They coordinate well with the school and the student represenatives (Student Govt.).

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

If you are looking for a school where your children will never want to leave, this is the school for you. At this school, your child will have a voice and are only appretiated for their individuality. Visit the school if you get a chance and you wil see what I am talking about! And like I here very frequently 'Go DAA and Go Leopards!'
