Chauffered, car pools, busses.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Media and technology are in the dark ages, library books from the 1960s. Only one student use computer in each classroom. The grounds look nice, but there is no room for parking for parents or special events. There are many dedicated teachers.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

The school has no programs that have helped us with the transition, coming or going.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There is a strong PTA. The school board is made up of parents. The board mostly rubber stamps what the headmaster wants.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

OSC is getting smaller. Some of our friends have enrolled their children in other international schools, while others have left the country over security issues. It's a very fluid situation. Kidnappings by police, or people imitating the police, are on the increase, along with bombings and attacks in Colombo. It is sad to see the civil war destroying the country.
