How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

Parents drive them; the school is centrally located (near the University / Downtown) and between two of the major routes into the University / Downtown area from the Northwest.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Because this is a new school, much is still to be developed. However the director has made arrangements with the City for use of the nearby sports centre / pool / gym and all teaching staff are required to offer an afterschool club.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

N/A because the school is so new and is only offering PK / K. However the programme is international and so students should be able to transfer easily to another school, especially to one offering the same programme.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There are plans for a PTO but time will tell. Currently everyone is very enthusiastic and involved, and the director has coffee every Monday morning with all parents so they and he have lots of interaction.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Go for it. They have a strict limit on the number of places because of City zoning restrictions and so will not be able to expand, even if they want to, so it is definitely first in first served. We were one of the first families to register, and so far everything we were told has happened or has been better than we expected.
