How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

The facilities are below standard compared to other schools in Thailand and certainly non- competitive to their counterparts in other parts of Asia. Some interesting extra curricular activities do exist but most activities are being offered from teachers with "bare basic" training in their field.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

Obviously the school will never compare nor prepare my child fully for repatriation. ISE is intending to change the grading system of their school from letter grades which are required for post secondary institutions to "working towards" comments in lieu of grades. We are very concerned of this transition away from letter grades.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There is a PTA and most parents join with good intentions to work with the school to help make a difference for all children at the school. Truth is, the PTA is only being "used" by the school to help generate cash doing the "hard work" to organise fund raising activities to only benefit the school. The superintendent is lazy and rules with an iron fist. He is just "running out the clock " so to speak before retirement.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

ISE certainly has it's good points compared to other International schools we have been affiliated with. But be warned, the elementary school principal at this school is quite frankly a very manipulative, conniving, self absorbed woman with intentions of changing grading, policies and other fundamental rules of IB programs to suit her best interest. She is looking to move on with her career and unfortunately she is trying at all costs to change the school to help benefit her CV. She wants to leave but is unable for her reputation supersedes her ability. She also as two children in the school and with one child being a below average pupil and she is trying at all costs to help the school steer away from letter grades to "works well with others" to improve his stature away from being what he is, a failure. Be warned. She's dangerous.
