What advice would you give someone preparing to move to your area about the actual move, choosing a neighborhood and finding a home?

Do your research and visit various areas before you commit. The laws here are very different so only Philipine people can own the ground with exception to condos. Look for schools, medical and grocery store locations that are fairly close to where you live.

What type of housing do you live in? Is this typical for most expats in your area?

We are in a single family home and several others rent same here but most buy condos in Makati area which is more western in size of streets, cleanliness and choice of restaurants but is considerably higher in cost.

How did you choose your neighborhood and find your home or apartment?

My wife has lived in this area for over 15 years and has a chrome plating busines located in another close city.
