Istanbul is one of those lively cosmopolitan cities where you can find something for every taste palate. Here are a few ideas:

  1. BORSA: One of the oldest restaurants in the city, established in 1927. Turkish and mediterranean cuisines, very good food and excellent service. A place to enjoy with friends, family or for business. This is one place where you have excellent quality for money. Open daily from noon to midnight. All major credit cards accepted.

  2. LOKANTA: This restaurant is owned by one of the best chefs in town, Mehmet Gurs. It has an excellent international cuisine selection and a very good wine list. Open Monday- Saturday from noon on. Mastercard and Visa are accepted.

  3. CHANGA: One of the coolest restaurants in town. A must for everyone who wants to be served great tasting 'fusion' dishes in a creative way. All major credit cards are accepted.

  4. SUNSET GRILL & BAR: Sunset is located on the hills of Ulus and has one of the greatest views of the city, overlooking the Bosphorus. The food is excellent and a mixture of international cuisine and Turkish dishes. It also has an excellent Sushi Bar and a top international wine list. Accepts all major cards.

  5. POSEIDON: A great fish restaurant with very tasty 'mezes' (appetizers) right on the Bosphorus in the beautiful Bebek area. Open daily from noon to midnight. Mastercard and Visa card are accepted.

Fully agree with the comments of Yasemin hanim regarding Sunset Grill & Bar. It was one of my favorite places while living in Istanbul. Besides the great quality of food I liked the hospitality of the service staff - always friendly and helpful. regards Peter A
