What to do with 40-acres

I have 40-acres of raw land directly behind 47.5-acres of well established Gold Medal Winning Malbec Vineyards.

Unfortunately an Agronomist (Soil's Engineer's) Report says the land is too salty to plant vineyards or Orchards or even alfalfa..

I am reaching out for any serious suggestions what to do with the 40-acres.

Pampas,

Thanks for the sound advice. In fairness my Agronomist didn't say my 40-acres "Dead" forever. I did bring up repeated flooding to rinse the soil and even add chemicals at the end. My water well is capable of providing the necessary water.

I was told the costs involved to reclaim the soil would far out weight the costs.

I would love to reclaim the soil. Do you know anyone including yourself who can provide a realistic estimate?
