Hi Newton,
To work in Australia you need to apply for a skilled visa, either as an independent or sponsored by an employer. There are several visa options and each of them have specific requirements, which include age, English language knowledge, skills and experience in an occupation in demand in Australia. You can read about all the options and all their requirements at www.immi.gov.au.

Hi Newton
An excellent website to find a job in Australia is www.seek.com.au.
First however, as the previous post has stated, you will need to obtain a working visa. Some employers may offer sponsorship to skilled employees, so always enquire with any job applications you make.
Good luck, and I hope you find a position in Australia.
Regards
Ken

Ken,
I'm from the States. I, too, would like to move to Melbourne with my wife. I hold a BA and she a BEconSc. Do we need visas as well?

Hi Marian
Your best bet is to check with potential employers at application/interview/offer stage.
Many employers in Australia will sponsor workers as the national base of good workers is quite limited. The Australian government also encourages this by providing several sub-classes of visa for this purpose.
Visit www.immi.gov.au to find out more.
You should also research about the Australian economy and in particular housing and medical/health insurance costs, which can sometimes be quite a shock to new immigrants.
Regards
Ken

Hi everyone!
There are also great coaching options in Australia. I did one with Australiance, best investment ever! They can help you through your whole expatriation process.
This is an advice from my personal experience . There's nothing general about it ;) But this is how I got sponsored
Good luck with your job researches!

Hi Newton! Australia is a great choice, I moved here with my husband to work! It is important that you do your research on stuff like this. Australia's diverse and welcoming attitude is matched by its economic growth, which is good news for graduates hoping to work in the country. Good luck with you search, if you need any help with relocation guides there are some on my website for individual areas of Australia: http://www.eliteexecutiveservices.com.au/
