US man considering marrying a Colombiana...some advice please

Let's get it out of the way - I know I know, never trust a Colombiana....they all steal and drug Gringos....all they want is money.....and trust me, I've had my share of bad run in's with Colombianas (But more bad run in's with Gringa's - just to be fair)

Next, been divorced once in the USA so I KNOW things go South in a marriage and when they do, it gets ugly. Lost my butt in my first divorce and don't want to have it happen again. I don't plan on my future wife to ask for a divorce the next day but we all know its happened before.

That said, I think have found one I'd like to marry, finally. But I want to protect myself.

Have some questions for some of you veteran Gringos who have married a Colombiana. And I appreciate your help in advance.

1. I have assets in the US that are not in my name and I believe to be safe from a marriage gone wrong here in Colombia. So I will not be including these assets in a living trust (Colombian) that I will soon create.

2. Anyone out there have a Colombian Living Trust? And if so, can this be created without an attorney? Please, if you can, share some details about the process and the cost.

3. And, is there anyone out there who has a Colombian Living Trust, who has gotten divorced, and did this Colombian Living Trust protect your Colombian assets?

4. Is having a Colombian Living Trust enough to provide protection for me or is a Prenup a good idea too? Not sure if it's redudndant to have both. Anyone know?

5. Been to a few notaries. They all different as to what documents they want and their policies but one document continues to seem necessary and it's called a "Inventario Solumne De Bienes" (Hope I spelled this correctly)....I understand the gist of this document but how do I obtain one? Any suggestions would be great and of course, not using an attorney to obtain this form is my preference.

6. I own a business, if I marry this girl, and I have a Colombian Living Trust, because she would be my wife, would she be able to just walk into my bank and take money from my business account? Or personal account for that matter?

7. Based on question #6, if I create a Trust, is this something that would file with my bank so she can't take money without me knowing?

I know it's a lot of questions but any advice and help would be great.

Thanks guys.
