Elex, even though the gringo definitely is a pendejo, read the comments that others are saying about it on Youtube!

Naive old fool. But regardless, he still attracted leeches so shame on them too, they are not innocent.

How many times have we heard this story? This toad deserved it. Now he is all over the news and the internet sharing his stupidity. I’d be so embarrassed I would just keep it to myself. Sure this chick is a ladrona but how many red flags did she send him? What made this idiot think that a young hot model would be interested in a viejo verde!

Can any of you give me a general idea what he is saying - I do need. to practise my Spanish tho -the woman talking at length was attractive.

WhoaNellie
  10/19/2019 15:00 EST

His Spanish is nothing to emulate - he talks very poorly.

I can't point out all the errors, but some I've noted. From the time he starts speaking, he says in his broken Spanish as best I can transcribe it:

I can understand what he's trying to say but it's weird...it starts out
"I am (permanently) a divorcee (a divorced woman), I he/she looks for a pretty woman, I interesanta (no translation) interesting...in a wife. I don't want alone all my life I am happy with the Barranquilla woman.

It goes downhill from there.

The story is the same old same old - they started messaging/chatting, she asks him for money for various things like a sick father, he keeps giving it, eventually he's out more than 6 million COP - a whole $1751 or so...

A fool and his money are soon parted.

WhoaNellie
  10/19/2019 15:12 EST

Further on after the 5 minute mark, it shows he sent her a message, saying he'll send her money, but he wants her to get a comfortable bed (she previously told him there's no room, no bed for him when he comes there) so they can sleep together...

She (and Western Union) made out like bandits...

So she's not exactly a prepago since apparently no sex was ever delivered...and he's not exactly a rocket surgeon ja ja...

Thanks. I can understand it when I see it in writing but hard to follow on the video.

Speaking of fools and predators, I am currently watching William H. Macy on the show Shameless (Showtime) and imagining his character, Frank Gallagher, talking an innocent Felicity Huffman (his wife in real life) into participating in the now well known College Admission Scandal.

I know. Pretty bored right now. Don't know how much of that you're up on in Colombia - pretty sure Showtime is there anyway.

If I was single I wouldn't want either one of those young women, even though I'm 40 years older. The blond is out of shape and the brunet is damaged goods: tattoos. Maybe for roll in the sack if there was nothing better around, but not for a relationship.

My wife feels sorry for the guy. I hope he learned his lesson and quits sending money to women way, way out of his league. He's just driving up the cost of women. To any other desperate old men out there: Don't send money to women you haven't slept with.

As Harry Anderson used to say "A fool and his money were lucky find each other in the first place."

His Spanish is very simplle and clear to understand but lots of errors..as pointed out and verbs mis conjugated or missed totally.

He skips estar in mamy places. For example

His Spanish is the least of his problems

To me it's damaged goods. And sadly it's becoming very common in Colombia. I'm sure she wouldn't find me appealing, either, but if she's looking for a sugar daddy, she can cross me off the list.

The gringo Brian has been chasing putas for many years in Colombia. He even has his own youtube video channel and a bunch of followers.

Here's the prepago paola arias he was chasing in Barranquilla and she took him for a ride.

Can't imagine you have much regard for many in the U.S. either, as tattoos very common here, including on many former military.

Electricista
  10/21/2019 11:15 EST

Tattoos are a generational thing. I also hate tattoos but I have to pretend I like them as the only place you will find a young lady in Colombia without tattoos is in a university or in a small pueblo.

As for Brian, I had a beer with him once many years ago in Cartagena. He is an outgoing, likeable guy. I met him in the lobby of a Hotel where it seemed that all the employees knew him and liked him.

In the video he expresses all the typical cons a Colombiana uses on a foreigner to extract money.

He also mentions that the girl told him "no es nada para ti". If any foreigner hears those same words, recognize them as a red flag.

I like some tattoos. Some can def look trashy. Seems crazy to put on something fairly permanent you might regret. It used to be that they were seen as an expression of individuality. Hard to see it that way now since so many have them.

A tattoo would be the last reason I would turn down an attractive woman, given all they would have to overlook with me. Unless it was on her face!

DallasSteve

"Can't imagine you have much regard for many in the U.S. either"

Why would it make any difference to me what country she is from? I would not want a relationship with any woman who has tattoos, but others are free to overlook them or enjoy them.

I might overlook them if the woman was rich and beautiful, but otherwise I would rather be alone than be in a relationship with a woman with tattoos. That's my right, too. As for guys with tattoos it doesn't matter to me because I'm not attracted to guys.

Pedroal
  10/22/2019 09:47 EST

Didn't get the point it was all about who you would have a relation with. Of any kind I guess - "damaged goods"
And guys are ok because you don't want to have a a relation with them. Glad that's cleared up.

Well at least she got outed. Although he was a sucker, shame on her for taking and taking money.

BeerLover74
  10/22/2019 10:20 EST

Times have changed and tattoos are more common even down here. But it's true, the more educated women won't have them. It's more of the lower class hoochie mamas.

Electricista
  10/22/2019 11:49 EST

"Well at least she got outed". I agree.

One good thing about tattoos is that you can identify a person by their tattoo. I have now made a mental note not to give any money to a lady with an Eiffel tower tattoo on her arm (unless she puts out first).

DallasSteve

Tattoos are only good for two things: Identifying criminals and dead bodies. :-)

DallasSteve

I've got some sad news for you: Nothing is permanent.

But for now I am back in Colombia. Some day I may be back in Dallas but I don't plan to live there any more. I have some memories in a 5X5 storage unit there. Everything else is in my suitcase.
