Quiet beach towns

I’ll be moving to Columbia next fall and I’m looking for a quiet beach town as a possible place to try living for the first few months. Any suggestions?

Columbia, South Carolina, is not really near to any beaches at all...

But if you mean Colombia ( "u" ain't in it!) then there are very few QUIET beach towns that aren't run-down, backwards and/or dangerous.

I haven't found ANY but you may get some suggestions. Note, Cartagena is interesting - but quiet, NOT! And very touristy and hot and humid.

Overall I think Ecuador has a lot more possible beach towns that are worth living in. But you have to come down and decide for yourself, what you like and what you can tolerate...

Yes I meant Colombia, spell check got me but thanks for noticing ….
I have already visited Santa Marta and Cartagena. I was wondering if people had other experiences in smaller towns. I appreciate your reply and feedback

There are no inhabited quiet areas in Colombia.

The Colombian Caribe coast is not quiet in any of the actual pueblos. You might look for a single house that sits hundreds of meters away from any others, the further away the better. Such places exist but are rarely if ever on the market. My Caribe experience is the greater Barranquilla area, Santa Marta, Puerto Colombia, and Santa Veronica. None are going to be what you're looking for.
