Need a bed and frame

Post New Topic

I'm moving to CR in a few months and will be renting a room that has no bed. Any advice on how to purchase a bed and bedframe without spending an arm and a leg?

Shop around. I don't know where you are, only stores in Grecia. I would pay in colones and hold on to my arm and leg. LOL

I fully furnished and equipped my home when I bought it including a nice hardwood frame, backboard and mattress buying from multiple sources found on Craig's List Costa Rica.

Costa Rica favors the bold, resourceful, patient person with a great sense of humor!

your welcome Denise53!

Do be careful meeting up with people from the Craig's List.

They are after all strangers.

You may find it harder than anticipated to get your purchases 'home.' I would advise you to buy one from a store and get them to deliver it, rather than someone from a site like Craigslist.

The are many 'Gollo Furniture stores' or similar, in nearly all the small towns, that sells both frames and mattresses. Also there is a very popular one in San Jose, but I can't remember the name but there are many that are more expensive.

Searching for 'Habitat Muebles', may help.

There are stores that sell only mattresses (colchones), but can find mattresses in the furniture stores, and buy the mattress only.
