Moving to Grecia

Hi
My name is Mark and I am very interested in living in Costa Rica. Leaving the area of Northern CA and the madness of the U.S. govt etc to live in peace and happiness without the stressful life in the U.S.

I have been researching Costa Rica and the city/area of Grecia.
What seems to come up often, is that there is an active expat community in Grecia!
Is this group of expats that socially get together often? Is there a way to make contact with a person (s) via email to have a discussion and ask questions about the area and community?
Would appreciate it if you would get in contact with me.
Thank you,
In peace & harmony for the planet and humankind,
Mark

Hi veganguy!

Grecia is nice, "cleanest town in Central America".

There are several active Facebook Groups if you search for them, join and follow you will get a vibe.

Thanks for your quick reply(;
I do not have Facebook as I use only emails to communicate

If you have another way for me to connect, contact with Expats in Grecia, that would be welcome and very much appreciated

Stay away from the central valley if air quality is of any concern to you.

San Antonio and the whole Belen area is on the list of the most polluted cities in the world. It is the 419 most polluted city in the world. No US city made to the top 500.

I never used Facebook or even texted before I came here. You should set up a profile on Facebook and embrace it. You'll find that many business's here use Facebook like they'd use a website in the U.S. The groups, some with 20K + members can be invaluable, I ask questions and get tons of answers that are invaluable at times. Most population center, ie: Grecia has a page for residents as well as classifieds. You'll also need WhatsApp and Waze to thrive here!

Embrace the change,

Pura Vida!

That is just not true. Look at Los Angeles and Phoenix. It is windy a lot in San Jose area which blows the pollution out, unlike Phoenix where it sits all winter long and there are warnings to not go outside most every day.

Take a look at this link:http://www.liveincostarica.com/blog/2010/11/air-pollution-in-costa-rica-can%E2%80%99t-compare-to-that-of-american%E2%80%99s-most-dirty-cities.html.
