I am wanting to move to CR and needing inexpensive but nice hostal or room to rent. Prefer studio or room near to other expats or at least people who speak English. This is my first such time for dealing with a language barrier. All I really know is one word in Spanish ....no comprehendo....lol. I do want to learn but know it will take time, but in the mean time, I will want to be able to interact with people....as I am a people person. I love learning new stuff about other peoples' cultures.
I will be on modest SS. I have found several places that I can consider but I do not like really hot....Grecia is in cooler central area and due to LindyluvsCR great posts here on the Forum, I think I would like to find place with nearby English speaking people for the beginning of this new new transition. This is huge step for me and I am a senior so ...I wish I could have started this a few years back but financially I could not have done so, especially since I did not have a portable internet based jncome. Lol....we of my age group did not grow up with computers and I am not real tech savvy....do the basics and love tk research stuff but as yet do not know how to convert that into a career.. lol. Maybe someday I find help with that! For now I have new adventure coming my way, God willing.

Thank all who read this post and will respond with any info about CR and/or finding new place to live where there is plenty of new people to meet and get to know! I would even love to correspond via email if any one would prefer that. [email protected]. This is a encrypted free email that is based out of Grrmany and is end to end secure, just to let anyone know who is concerned about that issue.

God Bless,

Skh

So hope everyone does not misunderstand, I want this to be a fun new adventure and looking for new friends of expats and locals as I learn their language.

Skh - It is "No comprendo", not like you spelled. LOL

Am sending you an email today after I get back from town. Be glad to help you.

The way the gentleman wrote "comprehendo" is the way we pronounce it in Portuguese.
We spell it "compreendo"".

Please do not make this move, until you have visited first!
Check out the rules & regs on the link below, on becoming a legal resident, if you haven't already done so.

Kohl - I totally agree that visiting first is the thing to do, but I do know people who didn't, and years later are still here.
And others that did and made big plans to stay, but didn't.
