Hi Y'all!

My name is Kayin, and this is my first big travel. I'm a 30 year old man from Boston, so you can see why I am actively working on not having to go back to the U.S. for a while if I don't have to haha.

Staying in San Jose, so if there's anyone out this way looking for potential friends I'll be around for a while!

Welcome to Costa Rica. My name is Steven. I am 74, living in Cajon, a small town near San Isidro de El General. I moved here one year ago, after living ,for 10 years in Thailand. Waiting on my Pensionado Residency. You need to decide if you are going to be a traveler or a tourist. For example, as tourist, $400 a day is normal, but $400 a month is impossible. I live as a Tico would. My rent on a nice two bedroom house with garden space is 100,ooo colonies a month, electricity is 9,000 and water is 4,000. I have made friends with a small town taxi driver, who speaks English and lives in the same town. He also acts as my interpreter. See the difference.
