I'll be traveling to Costa Rica from the US later this month. I'd like to purchase a SIM card BEFORE leaving the US. Are there reputable places you can purchase these from? Thanks all!

With the proliferation of Wifi in CR, and the fact that our T mobile worked fine there, we have not had to swap SIM cards.

Hola Teamvegan!

you will need to buy a SIM card for your "unlocked" cellphone from a cell service provider here in Costa Rica.

They are widely available and very cheep.

You will then have "prepaid" service that can be "recharged" as needed.

Kolbi is part of ICE the national provider.

Pura Vida!

We have T-mobile and it works great here in most areas, and at no cost for Text/Data/What's App & Wi-Fi calling. We use it all over the world at no extra charge.
