Hello. I have got work permit with three years of extendable contract in Aalborg as Nurse on 1800 EU per month excluding Tex. I have a baby just about a year old and one to come after next 4 month smile. My question is understandable to all world and especially to Dane peoples. I am very much nervous about next destination to choose for work and for live. because financially I am not much sound and good. I am hard worker and I am smart enough to learn languages quick and I am skilled. but, my wife is very much house hold women and she is going to birth a baby in next 4 months. 1. please tell me what is my future under these circumstances? 2. Is Denmark is very much costly to live for four person? 3. Does my wife will get any job easily and will she and I get time to learn Danish? 4. What If my wife will birth baby in Denmark, does We will be a strong candidates for citizenship or only our baby? 5. What about us and our baby feeds, education and health coverage?
I am not rich with wealth. but, I am rich with honesty and prayers. please answer me. your suggestions will help for my and my family future. thanks & blessings Sherry Iqbal

Hi Sherry,
Honestly I'm not sure if I can give you the right answers. But I think it's worth trying for you to "visit" the Q&A sessions, where Dagmar Fink will answer all questions directly! Have a look here: http://www.worktrotter.dk/resources/267-questions-answers-work-in-denmark.html?utm_source=Worktrotter&utm_campaign=1fc9004feb-WT_2013_Feb19_newsletter&utm_medium=email
I hope, this could somehow help you.

Are you sure the salary is that little?
A quick check at jobindex.dk under "tjek min løn" (Check my salary) under Nurse in Nordjylland reveals that you should get a salary around 27000 DKK which is around 3600 EUR untaxed.
Living with 1800 EUR is going to be hard with a family, even for Nordjylland.
To answer your other question: 2. Yep. I think you're going to need minimum 25000 DKK in salary to be able to live comfortable with four person under the roof - and you should get it if you work as nurse 3. No, your wife would not get job easily. Sorry to say but it's pretty impossible to get a decent job when one doesn't speak danish. Any available vacancies would include menial jobs like cleaning 4. Denmark is not US, any babies born in DK does not automatically get Danish citizenship, the baby would get YOUR citizenship. 5. Fortunately your baby would have "free" health coverage and education. Free here means it's costly but it's paid by us who pay tax here,
