Eliquis generic available?

My cardio up here says I am getting older and should switch from 325 mg aspirin to 5 mg of Eliquis (Apixaban) twice a day. With no generic available in the states it is $1483 for a three month supply.

With part D coverage that becomes $8.35 that's eight dollars and 35 cents.

Visualize hundred dollar bills with wings flying in huge flocks from the US Treasury to the Pharma industry.

The generic in much of the world for this is about $200 for the 90 day supply.

Is anyone in Ecuador on that generic? and if so how much is it in Ecuador. I will obviously try to bring a six to nine month supply with me when I head back - my cardio here says he will authorize it.
