Hi there, I will be leaving the states very soon, was just trying to find a place to stay , depending on what job I get, will depend on the city, If there is any jobs with a place that would be awesome, just testing the waters

Several of us have responded to your other post about wanting friends. You need to do a bit more research before heading to Ecuador. First, you will not be able to legally work without a work visa, where you will have to show you have skills no local people have. Have you looked into the labor laws regarding immigrants? Second, it is a big place and you are asking for info in too general a fashion. You give no info on your desired location (s), desired rent level, fluency in Spanish, whether you will have a car or motorcycle to get around, etc. You need to provide relevant info so that the nice people here can help in any meaningful way.

In the USA during the depression towns would post signs at their edge saying....

"No work, no handouts, move on"

That was almost a century ago. A couple of generations of gringos have had time to forget that experience.

Your minimum wage job in the states would support a huge family in Ecuador.

Conditions in the two places are very different.

come as a tourist and learn about how they are different - then decide.
