Social Security Deposits stopped 7 months ago

Hello Everyone, I am at my wits end...Mom retired to Ecuador getting her SSI Direct deposit every month no prob.

For some crazy reason, she cancelled debit card because she thought it was expiring. As a result, she has not received her SSI for almost 8 months now.

She has gone to consulate, filled out new DD form with Banco de Guayaquil routing number and account number, sent everything in she was told to fill out

...she has emailed the consulate in Costa Rica with them replying her account is good to go in February, and yet no payments. she has called the SSI international in Maryland countless times. When they do pick up, they say all they can do is send a message to Costa Rica. They say Costa Rica has received the message, yet are not updating moms account.

For some reason, SSI has her correct account number in Ecuador, but a JP Mellon international routing number. Mom has asked over and over to update to Banco de Guayaquil routing number, which is actually all letters. Yet the old account number remains... What can she do? Shes in Azogues so I think she has to go Guayaquil consulate, but she is very frail and afraid of travel.

Does anyone here have experience with this situation or any advice how to proceed?
