Hello all. My wife and I are THINKING of moving to Fiji. I am fully retired and my wife works. Before we decide to make the move we naturally would want to visit. If we want to experience the worst weather, when would be the time to visit. Everyone loves it when the weather is perfect but we want to see Fiji when it's not so perfect

My wife and I moved here in May 2017. It has been the worst decision of our lives.
We researched for over 4 years and were well aware of all the pitfalls of moving to a third world country. But NOTHING prepared us for the conmen and thieves that live here and who have no qualms about taking your hard earned money by any means.
White people (kavalagi) are seen as walking wallets.
Holidaying here and living here are two entirely different things.
Tourists are definitely treated better than expats by the locals.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but it's better that you find out the truth, than be left high and dry as we have and wondering what the hell we are going to do.
Feel free to contact me via personal message if you want more details.

Moving to Fiji is a big step and you really need to do your homework and decide what island and area you wish to live in. What do you plan to do when you are here start a business, or enjoy life and retire..retiring is much easy to do here...I have lived here now 14 years and do not regret getting out of the rat race. I do not kown of a place where you will find a perfect place..every place has issues it is what are you willing to put up with. Dec-Feb are the hottest months with high humidity and Nov -March is the cyclone period. Right now my pool is 30 degrees C ..and I love it..
