Anyone familiar with this new visa category? There are many categories (highly skilled workers, researchers, business founder, entrepreneur, economic investor, legal representative, Artist/Performer, etc.) that require different levels of investment or paid salary but does that mean that the privileges are also different?

What category offers the highest privileges/rights to live/work France?

Hi EUBound,
Yes, the passeport talent can open a lot of doors for employment in France, depending on your situation. Here's more info https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en_US/web/france-visas/international-talents-and-economic-attractiveness
They can all be pluriannual (usually up to 4 years), but the term depends on your mission and how long they determine you need to fulfill it. They all come with the same privileges in terms of living and working in France, as far as I know. Hope that helps.

Kind regards,
Dennelle

Thanks for the link.

It seems strange that some categories of the Talent Passport require investments as low as €50,000 while others are as high as €300,000 and yet the benefits are the same?

Also, income requirements among thee categories range from 75% of minimum wage (artists) to 200% of minimum wage (skilled recent graduates) to 150% of medium France gross salary (highly skilled workers).

Mostly I am interested in how much time you must remain in France in order to keep the permit. I expect to apply as an entrepreneur and will need to spend many months a year traveling outside of France promoting the business, I seem to remember the old blue card program provided significant flexibility in this regard.

Of the different Passeport Talent applications we've been involved in, I can't recall any that required a minimum amount of time spent in France. You should seek professional advice for a project like this, as information you get on forums may not be applicable to your specific case and could cost you a lot of time and money. We partner with an immigration lawyer and a French accountant when helping clients put these applications together, so feel free to contact me if you'd like their information. [email protected]
Kind regards,
Dennelle
