German Food in Bad Hersfeld

I was stationed in Bad Herfeld many years ago and I used to eat at at small cafe on the man street just down from "Pop's". They had a dish I loved. It was beef i think on a stick with vegatabels simmered in a rich reddish sauce. It was called "Schaslich" or something to that effect. If anyone knows the receipe please send to [email protected]
