Hello,
I am a Realtor in Budapest, my name Eva Bonomolo . I worked as a Realtor in Toronto, Canada for 13 years for Royal LePage and then I moved to Budapest in 2016 . I work with Remax Hungary with foreigners /investors who want to purchase in Budapest. I not only help in the real estate side but I also work for the absent owner as the project manager for renovations. Apartments and houses in Hungary are gorgeous but most need renovation. You can contact me anytime my Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/EvaBonomoloBudapestRealEstate/

Eva:

Thanks for your response, I will check out your website. Question: In HU does a tenant have a right to break a lease (12 month for instance) under certain or any circumstances? With notice? 2 months? Not that I would but it is good to know your rights.

Thanks in advance,

Richard M

When you lease you have a legal obligation to lease for the full term, but if you need to vacate earlier then you can negotiate with the landlord and most likely the deposit provided will not be returned.
