Long-term rentals?

Will be moving to Ireland for 12-18 months. Not seeking employment just housing. How does one find long-term housing. Not near Dublin. Probably Donegal.
Thanks.

Daft.ie has properties listed for let by counties, then broken down into cities, towns and villages.. I'd suggest looking at property listed through reputable estate agents only if conducting business from afar. Best to house hunt in person, though.

Thank you for the response. I looked through daft.ie as you suggested. Now how would I find a “reputable estate agent”?

Are there national firms with local agents? Or is each agent an independent?

One approach might be picking the places which interest you, then googling for estate agents in that vicinity. That should lead you to their respective websites where you can evaluate their authenticity and reputation based on the information posted there.

Thanks for your help. When I went to select thumbs up for your helpful response, the thumbs down lit up instead. Let’s hope US elections don’t work that way!
Anyway, I appreciate your thoughts.
