Southern Puglia – Seaching for town to stay

We are looking at possible towns to stay in Puglia – south of Lecce. We are going to be moving to Italy in 2020 and wanted to begin our search for an appropriate place to live.

We would eventually purchase a property but will rent until we find a place we like. Nothing overly touristy or crowded with close access to a train station. Something with historical significance and nice architecture would be great.

Many thanks!

If you are looking for guidance on possible cities you are welcome to DM me as we have a house near Lecce. Best wishes. Alison
