Greetings from the United States -- Currently

Greetings all,

I am strongly considering relocating next summer to Italy to have my citizenship recognized via Jure Sanguinis.

I am 53 years old, identify as gay, and for work I am a psychotherapist here in the United States. For 15 years, I had my own massage therapy practice. I consider myself a pretty resourceful individual. I can processes pretty I am kind, personable, and have been told I put people at ease quickly. I like to cook for people, and I am a spiritual seeker.

I have travelled to Italy since my college years, returning at least once a year over the past 20 years, pretty consistently, particularly Rome, Tuscany, and the Amalfi coast. I have some, but less familiarity with Sicily, Bologna, Milan, Siena, and Venice. And I have spent no time in the north-western providences (Val d'Aosta, Piedmonte, Liguria) as well as much of the south (Calabria, Molise, Puglia and Abruzzo).

I am successful and have a good life here in the United States. So why move? Well, I have had some my most calm, soul-settled feelings while in Italy. And each time I come back to the United States, I feel an urge to immediately return. So, I want to try on living in Italy and a new adventure. I am not asking someone to affirm or persuade me not to do this. I can work that out on my own. What I would like is to meet people who can connect me to resources that can support my move. A good citizenship attorney who is reasonably priced, and familiar with the process of working with Jure Sanguinis clients in Italy would be a great start.

Also, any information on English speaking expat communities in Italy would be helpful as well. I imagine there are more UK expats in Italy than US expats.

If this strikes a cord with you, please reach out and say hello.

Stay Amazing,
Paul
