In preparation for the big move I've discovered that only my TV & DVD player will work once I arrive as everything is set for 220 - 240 volts.

Can anyone recommend a good electrical retailer, I'm hoping to not have to spend a heap as I'm unable to bring it back to Australia so it only has to last 3 - 4 years?

To keep it simple, anything with a power adapter, such as a cel phone will work in JA. Anything with a motor or 60hz processor.......like a US made welder, will not. I move between 220 and 115 V, also between 50 and 60 hz. You would be surprised at what works where...lol

Good advice, the majority of my electrical items are lamps & kitchen stuff. Not too much of a handy man so I will leave the angle grinder at home lol.

I'm a huge foodie so looking forward to getting out to explore local markets and restaurants, but still want to be able to cook at home
