Baby/mom group

Hi Everyone,

I just recently moved to the Manchester area of Jamaica and was wondering if there any mom or baby groups. It would be great to make some friends here, as I don’t know anyone outside of my husbands family.

Thanks!

Hi, Good luck with the search. I arrived in Jan and my wife and now 6 month old just arrive at the start of May.

We're also looking for a Baby/Mum group but in Kingston however are finding it very difficult to locate one (not being on Facebook doesn't help).

If in your searches you stumble across a website / forum please share it so that we can also use the resource.

Thanks

Hi ScottMI,

Yes, it seems rather difficult to find a mom group. It seems that most of the mothers here stay home with their young children, especially babies. I have a 7 month old and I believe he is at the beginning age to get out and explore the world. I have also been searching for swimming lessons or at least a park with a swing! There isn’t much to do in this area. However, I’ll make sure to send anything I find your way.

Hi Dr. Kim D Harris,

This would have been wonderful if my child were old enough for your program. Do you know of any other programs for babies as young as 7 months. In Florida they had Museums to visit, baby friendly parks or even Baby Gyms....is there something of this nature here? I am willing to travel on the weekends.

Thanks!

We facilitate mommi and me groups which encourage interaction with your youth via yoga, art, dance, and plant based meals. We are located on Mobay side of town. Most workshops are $1500 jmd which includes a snack, supplies, smiles, and good times
