the used cars are nearly as expensive as the new cars in d.f. i'm a taxi and bus man since i abhor driving with a passion. anyhow, why not see if you can lease? also, go to a toyota, cadillac, or seat franchise. don't enter used car lots. they'll probably swindle you.

to be brutally frank, i'd just take mass transportation. the taxis and cross country busses are dirt cheap. rent a car when and if you need one and want to have your privacy, etc., with avis or hertz, of course.
