Hi! I’m new to Tijuana and I’m trying to figure out where to refill my containers with water. I hate having to buy new bottle because of The Who plastic thing. Any recommendations or guidance?

Ask your neighbors which water delivery truck serve your area. Choose one and contact them for delivery of water in 19L garafones. They take the empty ones, if theirs, in exchange. They generally deliver into your home and will place the heavy garafon on your dispenser, if you ask.
That is how it works in most Mexican cities. Otherwise, you can install a filter and UV light to serve your kitchen sink, or the entire house.

In San Carlos there is a business that purifies water and you take your garafon 20L in and they wash and refill it with a new cap...15 pesos and they will put it in your car. I also have a filter under the kitchen sink with a UV bulb. It also feeds the ice maker in the refrigerator.

And has anyone had this purified water tested?
