Easiest Embassy for Residency

We have travelled Mexico for 20+ years and own a home in BCS. We'd like to apply for Residency, and are wondering which embassies would be easiest to work with. Sacramento would be the closest to us these days, but maybe not the easiest. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm sure you're looking for mexican consulates. Now keep in mid the one closest to where you live probably would have jurisdiction to take care of your residence application. FYI an embassy is the diplomatic representation of a country and its normally located in the capital city of the host country. Good luck.

Any Mexican consulate in your home country can handle this. There are not specific jurisdictions. However, each consulate has their own interpretation of the Mexican law and is free to impose whatever restrictions they choose. We went to the nearest consulate (Miami) and only later discovered we would have been much better off making the extra drive to Orlando where they actually follow the Mexican law as written.

I have heard that Loredo TX and Las Vegas NV have the lowest income requirements. The Federal government sets the "TRUE" income amount, but as stated elsewhere on this the individual consulates have leeway.
