roaches

Curious -- I am looking to move to Oaxaca, specifically a mountain town. Are roaches a problem in these areas? Now, for beach towns I already know the answer, as I live in a beach town myself currently. in South Texas where it is very humid. There are many roaches here and they are big. Hoping that the dryer climate in these mountain towns combined with less dense population is a deterrent.

Hi, I have lived in Guadalajara and San Miguel de Allende, both mountain towns and have seen roaches - the large Florida type, but it was rare to find one in the house. I hate them!

Roaches are not a problem. I simply collect them and roll them up in one giant doobie.

Me too! Good to know. I am ok with them as long as they don't come in the house too often.

what is biothrene flow? where do you get it?

i have had to learn: it doesn't matter WHERE you live, they are a problem here.

Anytime the phon line men or electrical me disturbe the flow thru the sewers.........or when the weather is going to really change they come up and out and towards your house.

Biothrine Flow can be bought at Home Depot. It's low toxicity. Forms a film when dry and the roaches pick it up on their feet and take it to their nest. I've had a lot of success with it. There were gazillions when I moved here. Not any more.

Well, Tequisquiapan is about as far away from a beach as can get. Dry air no humidity. And they live in our sewers. but ansswer is YES. I think they are everywhere.
