Hey all, just wanted to say hi to everyone! I'm hoping to move out of country around 2020 to a place with a great exchange rate and a romance language as the primary tongue. Looking forward to any suggestions y'all have! I'm willing to learn any romance language. Cheers!

I am thinking about PV I loved it their since I first vacationed 20 years ago. I live in So. California. I have been an ExPat before in Guanajuato central area when I was working for General Motors and stayed for 4 years. I missed the water. I had a chance to see how well an American can live if you do it right and have your comfortable surroundings around you and NOT cut corners. Many people tell you that you have to speak Spanish NO you don't. Great if you do but relax and learn along the way. MANY people in Mexico speak English especially the maids and hotel employees and taxi drivers. The teens learn in school and that was great when i went into Costco or Sams Club and they were the cashiers. Puerto Vallarta is very commercial and touristy so they accommodate everyone. Whats better this time for me is that I can get my resident Visa(FM3) here at the Embassy in Santa Ana, Calif. That will help lower some taxes and fees when I buy a small home. I DONT want to live in town I don't want to be near the noise. I am allot of fun and I like to look nice and meet new people. I love being in my sexy sixties as a woman. I don't have kids and as I get older I will need a place to grow old comfortable and have a maid and a taxi person take me around and the Ex-pat community has fun they have happy hours at restaurants and things to do. I would NEVER get bored. Great Doctors and I like the medical offices for skin care and cosmetic needs. I plan to rent for a few months and find a place and then I will know what to ship out for furniture. With the FM3 Visa I wont have to pay duty taxes and you want to ship out good stuff you cant buy anything over their that's good quality. All of that I will look into prior. I wont need a car because I will use my trusty taxi man to come get me whenever I need a ride. So that saves allot of money with gas and car insurance I wont need, I plan on moving smart. Be low key is also a good idea. For safety i would not advertise your coming out alone until you meet people you trust. Plan ahead and keep 2 eyes in the back of your head at all times.
