Greetings!
I am a 68 year-old American man who is still currently employed full-time in the tech field. I grew up in a foreign service family and love to travel! I have lived and traveled in four continents, so I am no stranger to "things abroad."
I hadn't planned to retire until I was 72, but with the effects of COVID may be moving my timetable up a bit. The coronavirus has turned me into a remote employee, and so now I'm thinking that if I can work remotely, why not start doing so abroad, which would help me consider where I'd like to retire?
A widower, my interests are photography, guitar playing (hence my "handle"), travel, and dining. My needs are simple, but a good, reliable Internet connection is a must. I'd like to stay in the same general time zone (US East) so I can work on my regular schedule, so that has narrowed my focus to Costa Rica, Barbados, and Panama, I would consider Ecuador, or other location if others would have suggestions.
Anyway, I don't want to make this an autobiography, so I'll just say thanks for having me aboard. I look forward to learning more about retiring abroad.
