Working as a therapist abroad

Hi folks;
My wife and I have started thinking about retirement and relocating to another country intrigues us. I know that there are many expat communities all over the world and was wondering if I could find part time work providing mental health counseling within one of those communities? If you are living abroad in one of these expat communities, would you be more likely to see an expat therapist over a local therapist? (Assuming you need to see one in the first place.) I am a licensed therapist and a legitimate psychotherapist in NC, USA.
Thank you for any thoughts at all.
