Hi. It's nice to join. I'm considering moving abroad and don't know exactly where to look. I want a place that's relatively safe, has good food and good live music. I can work remotely so being a digital nomad can probably work visa wise. Probably don't want a huge metropolis although I have to admit I find the idea of London intriguing. Mexico, Costa Rica and maybe even Panama also are options I've thought about. Not really interested in Asia. My wife is also able to work remotely. Not looking for all the ins and outs - just some favorites where you live, may have lived or have heard is fun for a foodie who loves live music on the weekends. Ok Thirsty Thursday is also fun! :)

London certainly has good food and good music. (Remember how English food used to be a punchline? Not anymore.). As far as I know there isn't a true digital nomad visa, but if you have enough money to demonstrate you can support yourself I think there's a way to make it work. I wouldn't do it without talking to an immigration lawyer, though.
As far as the music goes, it depends on what you want to hear. Good music generally or something specific? You'll get a good dose of everything in London. Not sure if that's the case in Mexico or further south.

haven't been to London in a while, but is the food scene really much better? I'd have a hard time believing it's changed that much over a few years, but perhaps it's big enough that you can find some variety and options. I can definitely see it being a good destination as far as a music scene though.

Thanks for the replies... @Trackbeat London has unbelievably good food. Truly! It has so many options compared to what it used to have. I've even had good BBQ in London!
I've been hearing good things about Mexico City but not sure about the music scene. It's notoriously crowded though, so I don't think that's going to be an option. I'd prefer a beach town with a few bars that get a mix of Mexican music, rock, etc. Anything but techno!

Yes London definitely has excellent food whereas it definitely did not use to. I know that some of the smaller cities in France have excellent gastronomy scenes. I can't say I remember about the music, though. Portugal could be an option as well. Lisbon definitely has options for food and music, and I'm sure Porto fits too.
