Spain, Portugal or Panama

I am a 57 year old female and looking to semi retire in Spain, Portugal or Panama. I would appreciate any feed back from any expat that has gone to this transition and is doing well.

Alot of US military were stationed there who married and retired there (Suez canal). I was there 2.5 years as a civilian USA government employee in 2008. We were giving alot to the Chinese then and sure it has not changed. It was a dirty country then (streets, beaches etc). What do you think?

Pretty sure the Suez canal is Egypt.

We'll be going to Panama for a month, after Ecuador. I liked David as a town. The citly seemed more appropriate if you had a job there. Large cities aren't our thing.

Portugal is growing too fast with gringos, now. Watch videos by Expats Everywhere on YouTube. Great introduction to regions, lifestyle and costs.

Spain can be great, but they want to tax global wealth. Bad deal for high net worth people.

Visit each for three months at a time and see what you think.

That all depends I been to all countries you have mentioned but chose Spain as my home ..worth considering

My first choice would be Spain ..knowing both Panama and Portugal
Spain just has it all of the points ..culture ..people ..sea..and facility to make new friends..
