I want to make use of her for a Frienly Nations visa and make sure that I am in contact with the right person as there is a lot of scammers out there.

I retained her to facilitate a Jubilado Pensionado Visa for me. She and her daughter are consummate professionals and also really nice people. I would absolutely refer them for representation.

Good luck!

To all, I have used Mayra attorney, and we competed the F/N VISA 1.5 YEARS AGO, My Experience in dealing with her, is she will never take a phone call, just email correspondences, now if others had phone calls with her, I would be very surprised to hear. And the one time I did have to call on the phone was to her daughter that met us at the immigration offices for the appointment. If you can email her. Regards Serge

My recommendation for the best firm in panama city to handle any kind of immigration issues is POLS. They are the most experienced. On their website they publish all of their fees and do not deviate so you know how much it will cost. In particular i would recommend Pedro Penalver 507-6030 7335. The email is info@pols.com.pa. Good Luck

I do not listen good things about POLS. I knew some people quite disappointed on their corporate services. Not sure how they do with Immigration.

You can check the information about lawyers license in the following link

https://ojpanama.organojudicial.gob.pa/_index.php

In that way you can actually check if someone is a lawyer.

Good day.

Can anyone tell me if they also made payments to Mayra into her personal account for friendly Nations Visa costs as my bank finds it strange that it is not in a company name.
Now I am also worried.

Ask your lawyer for an official invoice before realizing any payment. Also, ask your lawyer for a Service Agreement detailing the services provides as well as the amount of the services and expected time frame. In that way, you can present any complaint in case something happened.

Rezelaam,

I as well as several friends have made payments directly into Mayra's account for years, there's never been a problem. She always follows up with an invoice via email.

I have made payments into Mayra's personal account with no issues (so far) and actually that worked out much better for me as I bank with the same bank.

I would have to agree with KeryCruz's evaluation of POLS. Although I sometimes send links to their website, as it is very well done with lots of good information.

I did contact them once back in 2011 for information. This was when I was planning my immigration to Panama. At that time they even though I knew next to nothing about the immigration, corporate and banking laws, I realized that the information they were telling me was completely wrong. Needless to say I booted them to the curb immediately.

Granted that was over 8 years ago, and perhaps the guy I was dealing with was lazy or incompetent and this could have been totally anomalous, but nevertheless, I still can not in good consciousness recommend them.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I also contacted KeryCruz back in 2011 about immigration and met her in her office. This was back in the dark days before the friendly nations visa existed and the best option for those that couldn't get the jubilado pension was the reforestry visa. After, the FN Visa came in to force, I used KeryCruz for my immigration application, to setup the corporation and for my work permit. I was pleased with both the service and price.

Everyone I have spoken to says POLS is the absolute best. Ask for Pedro Penalver. He also handled my residency without fail. Rates are fair and posted and he walks you through every step.

I cannot vouch for any other firm at this time but have heard nightmare stories about them. Stick with POLS.

You would've been a great member of the Ku Klux Klan using that logic!
