Living in Panama, wishing to move to Boquete. Current lease ends 30 Nov. Will be visiting Boquete each Tuesday in September seeking one bedroom apartment for long term lease (2-3 years minimum) Would like to be within 1k of center of town. Have a docile six year cat. Have references. Any suggestions most appreciated. MI

We love cats and have a few already in our one bedroom apartment complex. Come see us one Tuesday in September in Boquete. Email us at [email protected] and I can send pics and contact information. I can meet you at the Tuesday market.

The 1km puts you in town basically. Is the 1km because you would like to walk everywhere? Do you drive and intend to come with transportation or will you be relying on public transportation?
If you aren’t successful in finding somewhere within your 1km requirement (check out Boquetening which remains pretty active regarding rental availability), don’t close the door on options outside your 1km stipulation as Alto Boquete might not be the desired walking distance from town center but taxis for under $1 are frequent. And the difference in rental $’s would offset the taxi cost.
