Lawyer location: PC vs home province

Hello,

I decided to move from Europe to Boquete during the summer, and to apply for a friendly nation visa. So, I will join you soon. :-)

I am wondering whether I should pick an immigration lawyer in Panama City (PC) or in David or maybe in Boquete. There seem to be two mandatory visits to government offices in PC. It might be useful to have a PC lawyer in order to carry out the first visit upon arrival, before heading to Chiriqui, hence saving one trip. Apparently, one needs to open a bank account first, and I wonder if it makes a difference to open it in PC (for later management with the bank offices in Boquete). What would you advice regarding the lawyer location, and do you think it is possible (and recommended) to carry out the first mandatory visit to immigration offices upon arrival?

Thanks!
