Ok...so I heard a few days back that some stick-built homes (not shanties and such) have no water heaters. Not like "Oh, we forgot to put one in." But more like "Water heater? In this climate? Are you kidding??"

So, yeah...is this a thing or not?

Most houses in Philippines have no hot water heater. Many expats and some Filipinos buy On-Demand water heaters that are about the size of a loaf of bread and use them on the shower. THey generally cost between $100 & $200 and some come with free installation. It is always wise to make absolutely certain it is connected to an actual ground such as a copper or steel bar pounded deep into the earth outside.

I don't know about appartments and houses in "foreigner" quality,
but several Filipinos say things as water heater, stove and refrigirator - but not the toilet chair :) - often/normaly belong to the RENTER.
