I have been searching and reading about places to live. Also medical facilities, insurance etc. I’ve learned that Angles City has many expats and several medical facilities. Only 40 miles from Manila and has a International Airport, the former Clark Airbase. Would a city of this size have most modern convenes? I’ve read of power interruptions, not to much on potable water, sewers or lack there of. I haven’t read much on Wi-Fi, the internet or satellite t.v. or radio. I’m under the impression that Manila is a very Modern City, what other cities are in step with Manila, and just how modern . I’ve read about homes to buy built to a European standard. That lends me to visualize up to date kitchens and indoor plumbing( septic systems) maybe gas or electric appliances. Just trying to get a mental picture of todays Philippines. Thank you.

Manila is overcrowded, polluted, and expensive. Angeles is fairly busy but manageable good hospitals, shops, shopping malls S&R for imported food and goods, many restaurants. Very few power cuts.
House rentals much cheaper than manila.
Quite a few gated subdivisions some better than others.
We have converge internet and cable tv, for under 2000 pesos per month. Internet 50mbs which is enough for us.
As a foreigner you do know you can't buy land, you can only own a condominium.
If you are married then your wife owns it.
My definite advice to you is to rent for 2 years, see if you like the area or not, you might not like living in the Philippines after a while, it doesn't suit everyone.
We have rented all round Angeles. All our houses were fully furnished
Complete with automatic washing machine, microwave oven, Aircon. If you want to see rental prices use Facebook, type in houses for rent in Angeles or wherever else you might like to live
We have lived just outside Angeles for over 6 years now, never had a problem. Easy to get to manila, Subic, Baguio, anywhere really. Having a car helps. Lots of car dealers here, ford jeep kia Hyundai Honda plus motorcycle dealers.
I like it here but I am a towney. We lived on a farm on Mindoro island for 2 years down dirt track roads. Was great at first but after a while I got bored stiff. Nice people around but very few spoke good English. 1 hours ride to the nearest decent size town. Just got too lonely and bored.
We now live in a very nice subdivision, bit expensive but very nice, quite a few expats live here, so I can have a decent conversation now and then. Angeles has a reputation for bars and bar girls, but that is just 2 roads, walking street and fields. Some bars have closed down, and some even demolished. Plenty to do here, good meeting places for expat around. Well worth you looking at houses and prices.

All the houses in Angeles have running water, we have an alkaline filtered water heater/cooler tasteless water. Flush toilets in all houses. Hot water in the showers in a lot of places. Everything here. More you pay the nicer the place. Just remember rent don't buy untill you are happy where you live.

Hello from Negros Island Dumaguete city. We have no problems with the internet. Most of the cities and round have fiberglass. In some far places works 5G. In our city, a lot of ex-pats and freelancer works online. The same almost in all Philippines.
