My wife (Russian/US Citizen) and I are moving to Moscow but are having some difficulties with the correct information about getting a work visa. I have minimal knowledge of the Russian language (am studying though) but do have a 3 year private visa already.

What would be the best option for getting a work permit? Pros/Cons?

Thanks in advance....

Hello! I'll try to answer.
A work visa must be sponsored by the employer.

So you can come to Russia on your tourist visa, find a job, and then the employer will need to get you a different visa for work as well as a work permit.

If you secure a job prior to relocation, the employer can send you an invitation letter for a work visa and you can enter Russia with your work visa.

Hope this helps!
