Hi there hope someone can assist. I am a South african engaged to a Swiss guy. We are thinking of moving from SA to Switzerland , I work for a multinational which has offices in Geneva so I could always apply for a transfer. My worries are primary school I have a 20 year old who currently attends primary school in SA. People say kids adapt very easily but as a mum I can help but be concerned for him.In the event that I don't get a transfer soon enough for school year ,would I have options as I wouldn't want to depend on my fiance financially all the time. Any advice, tips , is there a large South African community over there ?

20 year old, in school?? By 18, Swiss kids become independent and start working already. Best is you let him finish the university in S.A., even work there for a couple of years, and then move. Getting first job as a foreigner will be very tricky for him - especially if he doesn't speak German / French or Italian.
