Extended visit to Thailand

My husband and I are considering staying in Thailand for three months next year (June through August) with our two elementary aged children. I would love any advice on places to stay for this length of time. We are thinking that we may not want to stay in Bankok but are not sure about that. We will be doing business by starting an importing company. Also, do the international schools run at this time of the year? If anyone has any recommendations, they are greatly appreciated.

I have lived in Thailand for 12 years, much of this time in Bangkok. I suggest that you begin by checking the Bangkok Post classified section (online) at www.bangkokpost.com for some input on apartment rents and locations. There is a surplus of apartments for rent and it should not take you more than a week or two to find something suitable.
Many apartment complexes have websites, here are a couple to get you started..
Grand Hi Tech Tower Apartments
www.grandhitechtower.com
Fully Furnished, Cable TV, phone, Fitness center, pool and English pub
Rent from $120
City Mansion, Soi 3
16 Sukhumvit Soi 3 (Nana Nua)
Fully furnished 1-3 bedroom apts. Modern, beautiful garden, pool, tennis court.
Rent from $235Website:
